Feathers appear in two distinct ways throughout the jacket. The first most obvious is the cut-off hemline which sees a raw edge to the textile ending with feathered cotton fibres. The second effect comes from the textile itself, which is jacquard woven with a feather motif.

The jacket itself is a classic Type 3 style with small chest pockets and darted details down the front. All hardware is antiqued brass with a blackened finish contrasting well against the body.
